Dr. Bailey Rickman
Veterinarian
Dr. Bailey Rickman grew up in Pensacola, Florida. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine from the University of West Florida and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida.
Dr. Bailey loves veterinary medicine because it allows her to combine her two lifelong passions — caring for animals and educating people. She believes the best care comes from building trust and collaboration with each family. She knows that, ultimately, her goal is the same as the owner: keeping tails wagging and hearts healthy for as long as possible.
Dr. Bailey’s approach is collaborative and realistic — she’ll always discuss gold-standard care, but enjoys working with owners to tailor plans that fit both their pet’s health needs and their personal goals. She’s known for her calm presence, thorough communication, and ability to make even nervous pets (and owners) feel at ease.
Her professional interests include preventive medicine, senior pet care, behavior, and dermatology. She’s especially passionate about helping anxious pets have positive, fear-free visits. Finding handling plans that help reduce stress is one of her favorite wins as a veterinarian.
At home, Dr. Bailey loves spending time with Maple and Hydro, her two rescue pittie mixes. Maple is the resident diva who insists on attention and delivers expert side-eye when things aren’t up to her standards. Hydro is the water-loving goofball who believes every delivery box hides a secret stash of treats. Together, they keep life fun and full of laughter.
Outside of work, Dr. Bailey enjoys reading, yoga, kayaking, traveling, and exploring local coffee shops, breweries, and farmers’ markets. She’s new to the area and always open to local recommendations — especially if food is involved!
